RELX devices maintenance guide: Advanced
RELX devices advice for Bahamas, covering palette, what to look for and where the trade-offs actually sit.
The gap between a mid-range and a premium relx devices narrows once you know which components you actually use. Worth noting that the Q-Plus takes a small amount of care to keep clean, which we cover in the maintenance section below.
We spent weeks putting relx devices options through their paces so the recommendations here reflect real use. In Bahamas, availability of the 1.4 Ω mesh coil is the practical bottleneck, not the device itself.
Charging over Micro-USB takes about 27 from empty, and the pass-through means the device can be used while plugged in on the smaller batteries. Two things to check before ordering: the Micro-USB socket on the base and whether the 1.4 Ω mesh coil is the newer generation. Battery behaviour is where the Wismec Reuleaux earns its keep: the 2000 mAh cell holds a usable charge for most of a day at 40 and recharges over Micro-USB.
For budget shoppers, the learning curve is shorter than the specification list suggests, and daily use is straightforward from the first charge. If you take one thing from this page, make it the coil compatibility check. A device that needs a coil you cannot source locally becomes an expensive ornament within a month. The throat hit is noticeably firmer than a 70:30 PG/VG blend, so if you prefer a smoother draw, mix accordingly.
Worth noting that the Q-Plus takes a small amount of care to keep clean, which we cover in the maintenance section below. The 3.0 ml capacity is a genuinely useful middle ground: enough liquid for a long session without turning the device into a pocket problem. If you take one thing from this page, make it the coil compatibility check. A device that needs a coil you cannot source locally becomes an expensive ornament within a month.
Vapour production is more than adequate at 40, and pushing beyond that adds heat rather than anything worth carrying. We would pair the Wismec Reuleaux with a 70:30 PG/VG liquid, which is where the balance between throat hit and cloud density sits most comfortably. Replacement coils are widely available, and the 1.4 Ω mesh coil is the sensible default to keep in stock.
Build quality is the quiet differentiator here, with tight seams and a connector that has not loosened after repeated removal. The wide bore mouthpiece is comfortable over long sessions and resists the condensation that gathers on narrower tips. Two things to check before ordering: the Micro-USB socket on the base and whether the 1.4 Ω mesh coil is the newer generation.

Flavour and performance notes
A representative profile is Vanilla Custard: creamy, rich, described as warm vanilla bean with a smooth cream finish. On a 70:30 PG/VG ratio this reads clearly on the first day and holds its character to roughly the 1.4 Ω mesh mark before the coil begins to mute it.
Practical considerations in Bahamas
Availability in Bahamas is the factor that decides most outcomes here. Confirm the 1.4 Ω mesh and the Micro-USB are both in stock before committing, and check that the Q-Plus matches your existing device if you already own hardware. Duty and BSD rates move, so treat prices as current rather than fixed.
